I was born in Chattanooga, TN on December 16th, 1969, into a very musical family. I can’t remember a time in my life when my dad wasn’t playing the piano or my mother wasn’t singing. My parents directed choirs for much of my childhood, so I have been around choirs my whole life. I played trumpet in the marching, concert and jazz bands throughout my junior and high school years. I have two brothers named Marc and Christian. Marc plays the piano and Christian is our family drummer.
I attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN, where I graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance. While at Lee, I performed and traveled with the Lee Singers and the ensemble group from the Singers called Second Edition. During my time in these groups, I was able to sing and minister to countless churches across the USA and in many countries around the world including: Russia, Israel, Philippines, Korea, Scotland, Belgium, France, England and the Bahamas. After graduation, I moved to Nashville and began working for Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing. I have been with the company for 14 years and I am currently serving as their Director of Marketing. I couldn’t ask for a better job than to help market and sell amazing choir resources to churches all over the country!
As a former member of the Christ Church Choir for 16 years, I've had some thrilling opportunities with singing/recording backup vocals with amazing artists including: Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Ricky Skaggs, Wynonna Judd, Charlie Daniels, Michael McDonald, Sandi Patti, Larnelle Harris and many of the Gaither Homecoming artists, including the amazing Gaither Vocal Band. Some of the tapings, videos and venues include: the Grand Old Opry, the Country Music Awards show, Music City Tonight, the Ryman Auditorium and the Dove Awards. God knows the desires of our hearts and many times – allows them to become reality in His time. I am starting the next chapter in my life with this amazing group of friends known as Redemption Road. I can’t wait to turn the page and see what happens next!!
